I’m one of those fence sitters when it comes to tattoos. I always loved the idea of decorating my body but when it came time to pick a design I would always become commitment phobic in a flash. Hence my bare bod was still without ink; that was before I heard the buzz in the tattoo community about Tattoo Me Now.
The website boasts a really cool process that made finding exactly the right image for me, something meaningful and beautiful that I knew would be uniquely my own, fun and easy. You get to start with browsing thousands of the absolute best quality designs that will just blow your mind. After narrowing my selection down to graphics that especially resonated with me, I was able to use their cutting-edge tools to merge and combine different ones into an image that felt exactly right!
It was so much fun I actually created a bunch I loved and got input from the huge community of users on them until my final decision was made. I saved the others and made high quality prints of all. The site lets you print your tattoo design in the perfect way to bring for your artist at the tattoo studio. I tucked away the other prints in case I ever wanted to come back to them (and to show my friends), though it is easy to bookmark your favorites on the site and return to them and pick up the process at any time.

For me the coolest thing about Tattoo Me Now is how it let me really engage in the process of choosing and creating the unique and meaningful picture that is now inked on me forever. I never could pick something meaningful enough before, but after joining Tattoo Me Now I was able to review thousands of possible images I liked, narrow down the selection, and merge the pieces into something 100% original and completely me.
It’s been a month since I got it done and sharing pics on the site’s forum and talking to other passionate members has made the process both more personal and more social at the same time. The forum is expanded and is a lively place for tattoo artists and enthusiasts to discuss and share tattoo ideas.
To make it even easier, the site goes as far as having a studio directory that lists over 10,000 studios. The site lists all the contact information, which makes getting in touch with a QUALITY studio incredibly simple. Another helpful part of the site is the forum about designers. Here I was able to find the right artist to go with after being able to read reviews from other people to help make that decision. The last thing I wanted was to finally have the right image and not have it drawn perfectly.
I’ve always liked talking to people about getting tattoos, and the forum gave me a chance to share my process right up until posting pics of my first tat to new friends I made along the way from all over the world. I’m still on there all the time, now I’m planning out my next one. Tattoo Me Now really has opened my eyes to why people get so passionate about tattoos (and why they can’t stop getting more!).
The Bottom Line
I would still be sitting on the fence, unable to commit to a tattoo design without this site. No question it has been an awesome journey and this site made it so much more meaningful and so much more fun. I love that in addition to powerful design tools the social networking built into the site let me share my experience and make new friends.
